Predictive Modeling

HCIactive Origins

In the 1994, Keith Lemer developed the company Wellnet offering services to Johns Hopkins University/Hospital.  Wellnt used the mathematical principles and methodology of statistical predictive modeling and applied it to group medical risk and group health improvement.  This methodology was the first to identify more than individual risk but predict which individuals would develop into higher risk.  These higher risk individuals once identified, may be contacted lowering risk with medication management and suggestions for lifestyle and dietary change.  Wellnet is still utilized by Johns Hopkins today and many of the principles have been adapted by companies and consultants under current moniker of Population Healh.
